Shane's Hospital Stay

Our New Year's Eve was unexpectedly spent at the emergency room after Shane began having severe lower abdominal pain. Little did we know going in that night we would be spending a week at the hospital due to complications that arose after having his appendix removed. After over a month of more healing "complications" we are incredibly thankful that things are getting back to normal. It is amazing what the power of prayer can do. With that we now have a new outlook on what is truly important in life. Thank you God for your healing power and guiding us through this tough time. Our lives are in your hands Lord, and only you know why these things happen. We are truly thankful for all your many blessings and trust in you always.

Christmas Morning!!!

Santa came...but he wasn't our only visitor! As Peyton woke up Christmas morning her Uncle James and Grandmas and Grandpas were all there to watch her smiling face. Uncle James went to pick her up from her crib and she just snuggled him with the biggest smile on her face I've ever seen (she knew this morning was extra special) Uncle James brought her into the living room and she was delighted to see all of her presents and family.

"So Santa really brought all those presents?!"

She went right over to the Christmas tree to get a closer look

She carefully picked which present to open first and knew just what to do...

"Whoa!...How did Santa know I wanted one of these?"

"Did you tell him?"

"Wow!"

Only a year old but she was so appreciative of all of her gifts! She took her time and enjoyed every bit of opening her presents and playing with her toys. So much fun to watch!

(Uncle James put together one of her birthday presents from her aunts, uncles and cousins and she got to play with it for the first time...she LOVES it!)
