BOOTKA BEFORE...

BACK FROM OUR HONEYMOON!!!

My parents and James picked Shane and I up from the airport today, Maui was a AMAZING!!!!! But we were excited to get back to Texas as the new Mr. and Mrs. Shane Klar.....we couldn't wait to see our house (it was still a construction site the last I saw before the wedding) but mom and dad made sure it was ready for us to move in when we returned home :) After leaving the airport we headed to Alamo Cafe for lunch where we met Shane's parents, Jesica, James and Paxton.

OUR HONEYMOON...MAUI

At the airport...we made it! Morning after our wedding...first married breakfast! Not quite ready for the picture
Here we go!

~MAUI DAY 1 MARRIED!!!~

Arriving in MAUI...at the airport waiting to grab our luggage...SO EXCITED!!

My AMAZING hubby brought us lais! It's only right...WE'RE IN HAWAII!!!!!

Waiting for our shuttle to take us to our resort

The Westin, Maui

The resort sent champagne to our room soon after we arrived to celebrate our honeymoon
First night in Maui...dinner on the beach...BEAUTIFUL!!
If only this picture could have captured the beauty of the ocean behind us...we knew we were in paradise

~MAUI DAY 2~ SHANE'S 26th BIRTHDAY!!!

For my HUSBAND on his birthday in Maui...I had room service deliver breakfast to start off an incredible day! The Westin caught wind that it was Shane's birthday and sent him a cake to celebrate!

Our balcony over looked the mountains (or the sleeping volcano) of Maui...if you looked to the right you could see the ocean...Happy birthday baby!

This was our first full day in Maui...what a way to celebrate Shane's birthday!!!
This river flowed all around the resort...
We made it to the pools!!

Drinks for the handsome birthday boy!!

We had a shot for Shane's birthday...these were rough!

Shane and his Hawaiian beer

Time to head to the beach!!

These waves were intense

Playing in the sand...

The wave got him this time! Ouch...;)
He tried to warn me...
These waves really were no joke! The ocean got my sunglasses on this one

The end to a beautiful day! From this spot in a tent at our resort we enjoyed some delicious drinks and watched our first sunset in Maui...

~MAUI DAY 3~

Up at 5:30am! Off to our snorkeling excursion...
Our shuttle ride to the boat
A beautiful sunrise in Maui...

I wanted to stand on top of the rocks for this pic but Shane said no...he won this time ;) This argument went on for a while, haha
Still trying to convince me to get off the rocks
I love him! We were having so much fun as newlyweds...ahh Maui!!

Notice the splash...we watched as a whale jumped completely out of the water (the camera missed the whale but caught the splash)
We were able to spot a few whales while on our snorkel excursion...so cool!
About to jump in...

Unfortunately my new water camera broke during our first stop...we didn't get to capture photos of the other locations. But we will remember how pretty everything was. As the day warmed up the boat took us all around...we saw more islands, reefs, sea turtles and so many brightly colored fish...it was a fun and beautiful day in Hawaii!

An evening at the resort...
Standing in front of a waterfall on the way to dinner
Dinner was delicious...we enjoyed listening to the live Hawaiian music while we ate
Yummy

~MAUI DAY 4~

This view could never get old

Off to breakfast...

Mimosas at breakfast...yum!

At the entrance of the resort

The island of Maui is considered the "Honeymoon Island". Here it's not Just Married it's Just Mauied...

Ready for some extreme boogie boarding...

Tuckered out
Off to the bar

Here comes the hubby with some delicious drinks for us to sip on poolside...

This is the life...

Then it was back to the room to get ready for the luau!!
And we're off!

The entrance to the Old Lahaina Luau...

This place was breathtaking...

Cheers to an incredible day and unforgettable evening...
At our seats...best view in the house

Live romantic music

Lais were a must

Beautiful scenery

It got even more beautiful as the sun began to go down

I insisted that we sit in the very front so we could see the hula dancers...however very front meant that we sat on the traditional mats that require you to sit indian style for dinner and the show. Poor Shane couldn't sit that long indian style so he layed down on the grass so he could stretch out...haha so fun
Ahh much better!

They had the honeymooners come up to do a hula dance on stage...We had sooo much fun!

~MAUI DAY 5~

Headed down the beach for breakfast

After walking around a bit it was time to hit the pool...

We had some fun on the slides at the resort and swimming under the waterfalls

Here comes Shane...

And off to the beach...

This really is the life...
We went for a walk down the beach...

Then it was time to head back to the room to get ready for our Sunset Dinner Cruise...
On our way to our evening excursion...

Stepping aboard our evening cruise ship...

This ship was actually sinking...glad it wasn't ours

The entertainment was great but the company was better...wonderful evening!!

~MAUI DAY 6~

Waiting to catch a shuttle to the Gazebo~ A famous breakfast spot overlooking the ocean...

We found it! Check out the line, this place must be good...

Almost our turn
Beautiful view

The banana pancakes were awesome...this place was amazing!!

The waves were crazy big
But these guys boogie boarding near these rocks were crazier...

After breakfast we had the great idea of attempting to walk back to our resort from the Gazebo...(it was about a 20 minute ride in the cab on the way over) We failed this mission but it was fun...

Ahh finally back at our resort...poolside!!

Ahhh...

These is where our Australian friends came to the rescue and took our picture...he was a civil engineer and his wife was a school teacher, they had come to Maui on their honeymoon... we had a few things in common ;)

Dinner our last night in Maui...

~MAUI DAY 7~ OUR LAST DAY!

Bags packed...about to check out of the room
We enjoyed lunch along the beach
Then one last walk down the beach
Our wedding day 1-15-11

Bye bye Westin...
And we're off...Texas here we come!!
