Sunday Gathering with our Families

Shane and I trying to plan out our "bootka" (which my grandma taught us in Polish means "little house")...we can not wait to start building!

Shane's brother-in-law James and his future brother-in-law James just couldn't handle all the fun...haha after eating the delicious fajitas the Klar's prepared the two James' needed a power nap! Mrs. Klar thought it might be best to call them O.J. and B.J. ("Old James" and "Baby James"...we'll have to work on getting their approval) LOL

Liz's Wedding

Saturday we had the pleasure of attending Liz's wedding (Liz and I work together). It was a beautiful wedding and it was good to see everyone from work. Congrats Liz and Jessie!

Let the building begin

So far on the land we have only been cutting down trees. For the past several months we have been working hard to clear the land so that we may begin building our future home...BUT this weekend was exciting. We planted our first tree! On the tank near where we will build our house we planted a Cyprus tree. Our hopes are for this tree to one day grow nice and large so that we may hang a rope for jumping in the tank. It has a ways to go, but it's a start!

Oh!
And we also planted our first flower! Shane could have killed me...but when my dad and I were at the nursery picking up the Cyprus tree the old lady insisted that my dad buy this Lili as a wedding gift for the "young bride" (me...haha) So of course we had to plant it! We also put up fencing to keep the deer from snacking on our little flower...good news is we now have an excuse to go out to the land as much as possible, we have plants to tend to!
