When I first met Shane I thought he had to be too good to be true. Shane is the most amazing person I have ever met, and the day he came into my life I knew it would never be the same. I didn't have a chance against his charm and I fell in love with the man who I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with. I could not imagine a better fiance.

Dress is bought!

After much searching I have finally found the perfect dress, it is bought!!! It is very exciting knowing my dress will be here in 3-4 months...I'm feeling more and more like a bride :) Before meeting Shane I would have thought myself the type to be very particular about wedding plans. I have always liked to be in total control of things, especially plans. Although, after seeing Shane for the first time it became clear to me the only thing I care about...him. All the wedding planning is sure fun but the wedding "things" are surprisingly not something I'm picky about...I have already found ALL that I have ever wanted (Shane). All the rest will be perfect just because I'm marrying my best friend and love of my life.

I can't believe my little brother is sixteen! We are seven years apart and I still picture the adorable little baby he used to be every time I look at him. Now, this little/big brother (I say this because he is just short of being 6'2) is driving...scary thought. James, you have a heart of gold. You have everything going for you, your whole life ahead of you, and you deserve the very best. Always stay good James, stay sweet and true to yourself and what you know is right in your heart...I LOVE YOU :)

Since college we've moved on from our San Marcos days and began our careers in new places... However, in order to stay caught up with everyones busy lives we declared the third Tuesday of every month to be our girls night. We had LOTS to catch up on this month, especially with three weddings in the midst...:) Great times with great friends.

Fun at the Civic Center

We went to check out the New Braunfels Civic Center with my parents to get a feel for the place as a potential reception location. The civic center was one of the few places in New Braunfels big enough to hold the numbers we're looking at for the wedding.....

They were setting up the hall for a prom when we stopped by, so we decided to have a little fun while we were there...

This is the main walkway in the civic center that leads you to each of the two halls. We booked the entire facility for our wedding reception...January 15th couldn't get here soon enough!
